For the past two years, Heene has taken part in the annual DCAT Enriched show - a celebration of all things musical!

The children join the other 26 DCAT schools at Hurstpierpoint School to perform their version of a song from a famous musical.

They are taught their routine and the lyrics by two West End performers - Mr. Billy and Miss Gemma who come to visit Heene for a special workshop with the chosen children.

For two years running, Heene has been awarded the number one top prize in the overall impact award! This award is very special as it is chosen by Mr Billy and Miss Gemma, along with members of the DCAT Senior Leadership team, for the school that has the biggest impact through their outstanding performance.

This event is thoroughly enjoyed by all the children and gives them the opportunity to experience the joy of performing. 50% of the children who take part are either Pupil Premium recipients or have Special Educational Needs which gives all children the chance to have this wonderful experience.
