This hard-working and enthusiastic group of Year 6 pupils have a special role in supporting Miss Luke with the running of the library whilst also promoting reading and all things book-related across the school. They give up their break times and lunch times to support the opening of the library and ensure it is being kept tidy. During this time, the librarians are trusted to give out reading rewards such as bookmarks and our special Heene Superstar Reader stickers to younger children who are working hard with their reading.
In addition to supporting the running of the library, some of our librarians help run Phonics interventions for the younger children where they visit EYFS and Year 1 and practise Phonic sounds with chosen children.
Their hard work and support make them real role models to the rest of the pupils at Heene!
